RENDEZVOUS
When doors to worlds unknown declare their soul
And distant beams from far-off sunsets roll,
Be strong and know the hero's cold reward
For boldness, courage, fought with hope's huge sword.
When feet go firmly forward fast undone,
Those scars endured by night receive the sun
And black does always soften in the morn
And darkness has its sorrow tinged with dawn.
Emerging from the chrysalis of pain
Some splendid wings will heal those wounds again
In spite of the furore of fate's false start
The present streams of strength flow to the heart.
Collisions unexpected do enthral
And lightness may be lightning after all.
